Palm Springs Condominium

This Palm Springs condominium renovation reflects a harmonious blend of modern design principles and timeless elements, creating a space that feels both contemporary and grounded in the client’s unique history. The project was driven by the client’s desire for a modern aesthetic without heavily relying on mid-century modern design—a departure from the popular trend in the region.

Key Challenges

A key challenge in this project was incorporating the client’s inherited antiques, which carried deep sentimental value. Rather than designing around nostalgia, each piece was chosen for its aesthetic contribution to the overall space, resulting in a cohesive yet personal environment. From antique boxes displayed as curated art to original oil paintings thoughtfully placed throughout, these elements provide a quiet richness without overwhelming the modern narrative.

Bathroom Transformations

The bathrooms underwent complete transformations. The master bathroom now features a spa-like walk-in shower with ADA-compliant fixtures, including stylish grab bars and a teak shower mat that complements the client’s existing teak shower seat.

The guest bathroom replaces the standard tub with a soaking tub, also adhering to ADA standards with fully blocked grab bars that double as towel bars. High-quality porcelain tiles in 24" x 48" dimensions, selected for their non-slip properties, were laid in a custom pattern, uniting safety and sophistication.
